National School Psychology Awareness Week
Helping Students and Families Connect the Dots to Thrive in School and Beyond
All children have the potential for greatness and success. As parents and educators, we can help them realize their vast potential -- achieving their goals, thriving in the face of adversity, solving problems, and continually growing as an individual – by helping them to “connect the dots” along the many pathways to success.

Disability History and Awareness Month
National Bullying Prevention Month
National Bullying Prevention Month is approaching and Jones Dairy Elementary will be honoring this effort during the week of October 19-23. This is a time when school communities can unite nationwide to raise awareness of bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education. JDE will recognize bully prevention week by celebrating the theme of “It’s Cool to Care – JDE is Bully Free.” Students will participate with a pledge to be bully free banner, which will be displayed in the hallways, airing video messages, wearing orange for Unity Day, and student led announcements. Student Council will collaborate with Student Services to commemorate our commitment to be Bully Free by presenting all students with orange zipper pulls embossed with the logo. Please look for your child’s zipper pull to help begin discussions with your child about helping JDE be bully free. Additional resources on bully prevention can be located athttp://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/.
