A Very Special Thank You
The entire Jones Dairy Elementary School community would like to thank Drew Hodak (firstname.lastname@example.org Drew has a Power-washing business), who graciously gave up an entire Saturday to power-wash the courtyard and other areas of the school grounds.
Before getting started, Drew along with Ms. Julie Young, PTA beautification chairperson, had to dig a drainage trench to carry the water and dirt away from the building. What a wonderful transformation!
Update: Drew recently completed power washing the front sidewalks into our building. They look great!

Visitor Policy - To help our students focus and allow the time need for teachers to deliver effective lessons, visitors must leave items for children to pick up at the front desk. This policy is effective from 9:15 AM through the end of the school day. Find more information here.
Contacting Teachers - Our phone system does not allow us to transfer phone calls from the main office to a teacher's classroom phone. Please contact the teacher by their email (listed in our staff directory) to setup a phone conference.
Carpool Procedures - You must have your carpool tag. If you do not have it, please come to the office to check your child out. You will not be allowed to get your child from carpool without a JDE carpool tag.
Walker Procedures - You must also have your walker tag (similar to a carpool tag). If you do not have it, please come to the office to check your child out. Parents may not park in our bus loop to walk and pick up their child. These procedures are in place for the safety of all students.
Picture ID - You will always be asked when you check your child out for a picture ID. Also, changes of transportation are not accepted over the phone. They must be in writing.
Volunteer Registration - Remember you must be on the approved volunteer list in order to volunteer in your child's classroom or attend a field trip.
Transportation Changes - To protect the safety of our students, we can not accept transportation changes over the phone. Changes must be made in writing to the child's teacher. Once the change is received, a copy of the request will be kept on file in the front office. Lastly, students are not allowed to ride a different bus than they are assigned (even with parent consent).

Peach Jar Flyers
WCPSS has switched to an online system for distributing fliers to parents within schools. Anyone who wishes to submit a flier to the online system, may do so by using visiting our school's peachjar page. Any parents who wish to receive fliers may do so by creating an account.
